About Me
I am a native New Yorker and a graduate of Stanford University, where I majored in history and The Iowa Writers’ Workshop. After graduate school, I taught English and history at private schools in San Francisco and New York City, then transitioned to college advising after my daughter was born. Fall 2020 will be my 15th application season.
I truly believe the application process can be a positive, meaningful experience for students. The work required, especially the essay writing, encourages them to think deeply about themselves—their personalities, their values, and their goals—and how they interact with the world around them. Their finished applications are reflections of their unique talents, vibrant intellects, and joyful connection to others. The season can be exhausting but when my clients hit send, they are incredibly proud.
